This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My world revolves around my students. I say that true to my heart. My students are an energetic, fun-loving group. They enter each day with a smile on their face ready to learn. Many of my students are immigrants or come from very high poverty. However, no matter their different stories, they each come to school, every day, with a positive attitude.
In return, they help me start my day off right, and I am motivated to do everything I can for them.
My students do a lot of movement throughout the day, and we are constantly using hands-on activities to use their energy to my advantage. We have tried to take everything we can, in day-to-day activities and use it as a chance to learn! When using everything as a teaching moment, these students are able to grow so much, not only as learners but as friends.
My Project
School supplies is something our students often lack. They come to school unprepared and often embarrassed because of this. In order to help my students be successful, I want to be able to provide the supplies they need. This not only helps them to be prepared to come and do their work and learn, but also gives them and their families one less thing to worry about.
Basic school supplies can help inspire a child for a year of success in and out of the classroom learning life long lessons.
Crayons, glue, scissors, and markers help them with hands-on learning projects and to express themselves artistically in the classroom. Basic notebooks and folders help to keep them organized. By having the necessary supplies, all students in the class will be able to complete assignments and be academically successful.
