Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My 2nd graders are eager to learn and love to participate when learning! They are not afraid of making mistakes, because I always tell them that mistakes will make us better through our education.
I teach at a Title I school where 100% of our students get free breakfast and free lunch.
There is a high level of poverty where most of my students do not have the money to come fully prepared to class. Having more supplies will benefit them and their learning!
My Project
I created this donors page to request basic school materials that are needed every day. Students need materials to be successful and continue with their learning. Every year students get a list of school supplies that are needed but not all students are able to bring them.
My kids come from low income homes and with many siblings which causes a hard time for parents to buy all needed materials.
I understand the parents but students are being affected by not having the essential materials.
Students could be greatly benefited by getting the materials that are being requested. Pencils are needed every day without an excuse. Highlighters are used to underline any evidence found in texts or incidental vocabulary. Not all students have a sharpener and every student can use a classroom sharpener.
