My Project

My kindergarten classroom is filled with unique and inquisitive students who come to school equipped with magnificent minds, a determination to learn, and the need to be actively engaged. To ensure their success, I attempt to create a kindergarten classroom in which students can explore, challenge themselves, and learn through discovery. We spend the year learning the essential foundational skills to become readers and writers. Many of us come to school with limited prior experiences, and engaging our littlest learners can be challenging.

I strive to provide developmentally appropriate learning opportunities to my students that will allow them to be actively engaged and become excited about learning.

Every student is different and these resources allow for differentiation to meet all of them where they are. The sight word center has varying levels of sight words and more advanced learners can then write and illustrate the sentences they create. The "Twist Turn Letter Word Builders" provides an engaging way to build words for students at the consonant vowel consonant level, and the four-letter word builders can be used for the more advanced students to explore word creation using blends and digraphs. The magnetic letter tiles will allow for students to explore letters, sounds, and word creation in many ways. The blend and CVC magnets will work great on our magnetic walls for students to explore new skills taught in phonics. These materials will help me keep my centers engaging and interesting to my kindergarten students and many can be used for many different activities. Help me provide an environment where my students can develop a love for learning through hands-on and engaging activities!
