Each year, I am blessed with an amazing group of children, from whom I learn daily. They come in each morning with so much to share with the class and me. They are full of life and want to share that with everyone around them. At the beginning of the school year, my students enter second grade as shy first graders. However, when they leave for the third grade they are strong, confident, and determined. Being part of this process is what makes teaching so beautiful. I would like to continue this pattern and not have any of my students slide back due to these unprecedented times.
My Project
During this time of remote learning, students lives have been changed in many different ways. They left on a Friday thinking we would see each other that Monday and that never happened. We did not prepare and take our books and materials home. They are now learning from home and through a computer screen. I am asking for workbooks to give students additional support. These workbooks will give them some sense of normalcy and not make learning all about the computer. These workbooks will also assist students during the summer months as well so that they don't slide back. The workbook I chose is multi- subject so it will cover all subject areas.I also asked for packages to mail out the books in .
