My Students

My students are mixed ability and amazing. They come from varying backgrounds but come together as a lively bunch of curious learners.

They have survived learning in a pandemic - online, at home, and at school.

They navigate Middle School with a goal to succeed.

My Project

My students love to read, especially literature, but they also need access to authentic articles written for young adults like them. Scope magazine does just that.

Scope is the multigenre ELA magazine that inspires and empowers middle-school students through fascinating, authentic texts written just for them.

It includes unique stories that will engage them and build reading, writing, and thinking skills. That is a win-win for me and them.

Every issue of Scope opens the doors of curiosity and fosters a lifelong love of reading and learning. These skills will carry my students through Middle School and beyond.
