My Project

In our classroom, my students and I are always striving to be the best versions of ourselves through kindness, personal and academic growth, mindfulness, and success. Sometimes, this is very hard to achieve if our basic needs are not met. Safety and love are met within the walls of my classroom for free. However, meeting the physiological need of food, is not so easily met. As a title one school, many of my students' families struggle with being able to provide daily snacks to keep their child full and fueled for learning. For some, if they do send in a snack with their child, financial stress is felt in the home.

Please help fuel my students' brains for academic and social growth in the classroom by providing them daily access to nutritious snacks.

This will also alleviate undue stress in the home, which often negatively impacts student learning as well. With grants like this and your generosity, our future doctors, engineers, lawyers, teachers, service workers, artists, and friends and families are being provided with foundational essentials and less stress. Gone will be the hours spent in school hearing their tummies rumble instead of the instruction by their teacher or words of encouragement from their peers. Gone will be the anxiety and haunting thoughts of not knowing when they will have something to eat. Now will be the days students and their families feel relief and are able to focus on love, learning, laughter, and, more importantly, each other.
