My Students
This is my second year working with middle school-aged children. When I first started teaching middle school, I was scared and nervous, but also determined. Each child has been different but they all share the same interest: an education.
The majority of my students are from low-income households or broken homes.
This has resulted in them not being able to afford a lot of the things that they need to succeed. As a mother and a teacher, I would love to pick up the slack where my students are lacking. Letting my students know that we are on the same team encourages them to work even harder.
I believe that students cope better and do better once they believe they have support from their teachers. My goal has and will always be to help every child succeed, regardless of how difficult the road may seem.
My Project
Many young adults attend school but don’t enjoy it. They are used to completing assignments without gaining any excitement from the assignments. Having more of my students participate and engage in our class discussions is my primary goal. I would love to achieve my goal by rewarding my students for doing their part.
Working with middle school children can be challenging at times, but offering a reward will encourage more of them to speak up, participate, and enjoy what they’re learning!
This approach is not just about giving out a reward; this is a way for my students to break out of their shells and participate!
