Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are wonderful and sweet third graders from a mostly low income Hispanic neighborhood. Most students come from families that only speak very little English so they have a limited English vocabulary and comprehension. They do have a love for leaning and want to learn. They are motivated and working their hardest to learn.
My students have a love of learning and I want to make sure I give them every opportunity to reach their highest potential!
I want them to know the sky is the limit!
My Project
These amazing books will integrate reading, math, science, and social studies to capture the children's attention and increase their knowledge in a variety of subjects.
They will be able increase their English vocabulary while learning about various topics in the curriculum.
I will be able to conduct several read alouds to introduce several topics and make the books available for students to be able to read them at their leisure.
The students will have access these books and make them feel that they are in control of their own learning by allowing them to choose which topics they are interested in.
