Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My second-grade classroom is a room full of fun and kind students. The students range in age from seven to eight years old. My school is located in Nevada in a very high-need community. Our school is a STEAM academy elementary school where students love to invent, explore, and be creative. They have a real joy for learning. The students love to come to school every day eager to learn. I love to watch them grow and succeed in the classroom.
My Project
I would like the opportunity to supply my amazing second graders with the best technology. At our STEAM school, we have many school programs that use technology every day. Most of these programs need to be completed on a computer or tablet. My students will have more opportunities for success on these various programs if they have access to a Microsoft Surface tablet. In addition, the students will be able to use the Microsoft Surface tablet in small groups or with a partner. The use of the Microsoft Surface tablet in the classroom helps further foster the technological foundation of my students.
