When you walk into a classroom, you should automatically be able to sense the mood. My classroom feels more like a home than a classroom. Our class works together as a family and not just as individual students.
My third grade students are lifelong learners.
They enjoy coming to school and learning new things. They are able to come to school prepared to do their very best work. They work as a team in order to collaborate to meet their learning goals.
Currently, my classroom is run on flexible seating. Flexible seating allows students the ability and freedom to choose work spaces that are a good fit for each individual. We all learn in different ways so why not embrace that and incorporate that into how students prefer to sit.
Currently, we have a set of stools that are made out of fabric and wood that are falling apart.
The students are no longer able to use these seating options, so we are looking to replace them with a more sturdy alternative. Metal stools would be a perfect addition to our classroom and would allow us to get rid of the broken seating.
