Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our Title I LAUSD STEAM and Social Justice magnet emphasizes the respect of self and others. Our pedagogy includes discipline and high expectations, as well as activism and compassion. Our African-American students share the school with Latino children and a few Asian kids. This mix offers unlimited opportunities to learn tolerance and teamwork while discovering new perspectives.
Students will not only be trained to be problem-solvers but will also consider how their solutions affect the environment and all members of society, here and abroad.
However, our school and our families can't afford the additional resources we need to support independent learning in a digital world and significantly improve student achievement. Thank you for helping our kids become successful, responsible, and productive citizens!
My Project
Our school district has purchased devices and researched based online programs to help students improve their skills, but it didn't provide a noise reducer! It is very difficult to focus on any task when 25 laptop play, even softly, 25 different texts, or songs around you. in the same room!
Thanks to the 26 headphones you would offer the class, all my fourth graders would be able to study quietly!
They would be able to hear better the directions and wouldn't have to struggle against the surrounding noise. Additionally, these sturdy headphones are easy to disinfect and would last for a few years. You would be helping 52, 78, or maybe over a hundred kids!!
