I have 28 Kindergarteners in my classroom. They have a variety of background experiences that create challenges in and out of the classroom. Their perseverance is inspiring and they all bring something wonderfully unique to our classroom.
The most important thing about my students is that they love learning and they truly want to come to school every day!
Their love of learning is contagious and it inspires me to create meaningful learning experiences with them. A collaborative and positive learning environment has always been my goal as a classroom teacher. My students do best when they can be their true selves, express their interests, and move freely. They are the most perfect, energetic and goofy bunch of 5 years olds and I love them with all my heart. I hope that their love for learning continues throughout their education and they choose to share that love with the world.
My Project
My students thrive when they are given creative and hands-on ways to learn! Our independent literacy and math centers help us master our goals while exploring our fun and creative sides.
The donations to this project will give us more opportunities to learn through engaging and exciting math and literacy centers!
I have had some difficulty implementing center success with limited resources. In order for center time to be successful, my students must have easy access to these activities and a clear, organizational system needs to be in place. These materials will give each center a home. It will allow the students to locate, move, and participate in their center independently. This process will teach independence, problem solving skills, and foster a flexible learning environment.
