My Students

I have 3 classes of amazing and inquisitive fourth grade students. We focus specifically on STEM and Social Studies in our class. Some of my students have unique learning needs that aren't always met by studying text only. My students work and and deserve the best equipment and educational tools I can locate for them. They show great enthusiasm when it comes to STEM research and I want to encourage and inspire their interest and excitement about Science and Technology!

My Project

Students in my class will study Space Science this year, specifically the relationships between the Earth, the Sun, and the Moon. The illuminated Scientific Orbiter will allow my students to observe the rotation and revolution of the Earth and Moon, allowing them to collect and analyze data and recognize patterns of these relationships. The NAESP representative at my school highly encourages projects like these.

Students in my class benefit most from hands-on experiences.

This orbiter model will show students exactly how Earth revolves around the sun and how the moon revolves around the Earth. This relative motion is challenging for students at this stage of development to the abstractness of motion in relation to the Sun.
