Help me give my students Coping Skills for Kids Workbook: Over 75 Coping Strategies to Help Kids Deal with Stress, Anxiety and Anger. This book will help teach students ways to cope with their disabilities in school.
My students are new to middle school and are coming into middle school with many questions and lots of changes. They are also students who have disabilities including physical and emotional disabilities. They like activities that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things Many students at my school often lack supplies and resources that make it difficult to complete practice assignments at home.
Our school is in Minneapolis it is an inner city school.
We have a high poverty rate and ver 60% receive free or reduce lunches. I also work in special education where adaptive supplies are needed but funding is not available.
As a special education teacher I incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met.
My Project
My students and I just need your help in getting everything into the classroom. The books such as Mastering Sixth Grade Skills will be used to teach the special education students that I work with study skills strategies for 6th grade.
The book Coping Skills for Kids Workbook: Over 75 Coping Strategies to Help Kids Deal with Stress and Anxiety and Anger will be used to aide us in becoming better students as well as learning to cope with any disabilities that we may face.
They will help in not allowing them to deter us from succeeding in school. Helping us realize that our disabilities do not define us is another way these books can help.
