Remember the first time you used technology for help in a class. It was both exciting and informative! This is how the students in my class respond to use of technology. Now imagine having to wait until lab day or the assigned twice a week chrome book time to have access to this technology.
My students are a special education class who follow grade level curriculum, but learn differently.
They flourish when able to use technology as a part of their learning. Technology opens up a world that may be otherwise be a struggle for the students to access. It is inspiring to watch what these students can accomplish when given the opportunity to use technology to help them learn.
My Project
My students need 2 Chromebooks and a management console. My students will use these Chromebooks to access the curriculum in an innovative and creative way. Math and Science technology will help create lessons that not only help the students to understand, but will go beyond the lessons into the real world. Technology will help individualize lessons and skills to each student, helping that student to reach his/her potential.
Donations that provide Chromebooks in the classroom to students who struggles in school, makes a different in those students' lives, both academically and in their self esteem.
Continual access to Chromebooks, helps these students to learn and understand in multiple ways. The availability of daily access to Chromebooks, not only opens up this new avenue of learning, it prepares them for life in today's highly technological world.
