I am the art teacher for students who have been diagnosed with ADHD and/or an ASD (autism spectrum disorder). Our school is a special education program founded on the principle that any child can learn given the proper learning environment and tools.
I absolutely love my teaching assignment!
I teach art to 200 young artists at all grade levels (K-12). My students are creative and energetic and truly enjoy learning about and making art.
My Project
When my students take their time to create thoughtful, unique works of art they love having the ability to trace their work with permanent markers. We have a phrase we use in the art room that says, “Draw light til you know it’s RIGHT!” When students have edited and adjusted their drawings, it’s awesome to let them make their work stand out with bold, permanent markers.
These markers will provide my students the opportunity to give their one-of-a-kind artwork permanence!
Sharpie markers are the best. I’m asking for metallic colors, ultra-fine tips, pen tips, and extra bold colors. My students deserve the best art supplies. Help us replace our old, dried out markers!
