My Students

Can you imagine being filled with incredible ideas for videos, but when you try to put your vision together using the resources available to you, you find that it can never quite reach the quality you desire? Our students have. They are full of inspiration, but nothing to use to create their dreams.

We are a year-old charter school based in a low-income county in Texas, with a wide mix of races attending.

We are focused on PBL (Project Based Learning), and encourage our scholars' creativity in their learning. We are still fairly small, and since we are young, have limited funding available for technology.

My Project

I chose a good quality video camera from Amazon that has great reviews and is easy to use. I have included a memory card in order to make the videos created simple to transfer from the camera to any computer to edit. Our students will be able to step through the creative process with brainstorming, writing scripts for their instructional videos, creating them, and then editing them to a final exceptional product. With few resources available to create videos of any quality, our students are always disappointed with their current results.

Help our students see their dreams become reality, and experience the reward of being able to create instructional videos that will help other students learn better in our school and throughout the nation (their desire is to have their own school YouTube channel with teaching videos).
