Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are an energetic and excited bunch! They love learning! Every day they come in with smiles on their faces! Growing up in the neighborhood they live in can be difficult. Many of my students have not had many experiences outside of the city. They are unable to provide basic school supplies that would benefit their learning. They are kind and I know they are moving on to great things in their lives to make a difference in this world, and I want to provide them with the every tool possible to help them accomplish their ambitious goals and love coming to school and learning every day!
My Project
I have a few students who have difficulty focusing and have a lot of energy who will strongly benefit from the flexible seating. Many of my students need leadership and ownership of their learning. Through classroom organization items, students will be able to help with supplies, procedures, and flow of the classroom with more flow.
My students need to explore the world around them and develop vocabulary and knowledge.
Through interesting and interactive games, they will be able to explore new information to better understand their world. Science and Social Studies will be incorporated into daily learning through centers and student collaboration time.
