Our students are fascinated with hands-on STEM labs and group projects. They love to force their minds to think critically about the challenges set forth, while working collaboratively with their peers.
I want to ignite creativity as well as expose them to real-world STEM challenges that incorporate literacy, math, science, and social studies.
I would like for our students to become problem-solvers and effective communicators. The STEM lab will be a place for students to explore, invent, and discover new ideas.

How often do students get the opportunity to take control of their learning by creating ideas and seeing them through!?
The Sphero balls, Makey Makeys and Dash + Dots will ignite creativity.
Students can actually code the Sphero Ball to paint a masterpiece. With student input the Dash + Dots can be coded to move on a designed path through the classroom. The Makey Makey adds humor to science by giving students the ability to make inanimate objects (a banana!?) talk. The possibilities for our STEM lab are engaging, exciting and endless with these materials. Through imagining, planning and creating students will take concepts from start to finish and be well on their to developing engineer mindsets to last a lifetime.
