My Students
My students come from diverse cultural backgrounds. Each student provides a unique perspective and insight into how the community functions and how it can be improved. Together, we establish a strong bond of support, enthusiasm, and hope. Our trust in each other goes a long way.
My Project
The current desks in my classroom are falling apart. They look old and weathered, and many have scratches or stains, which affect the students' comfort in the classroom. They also do not match each other, which affects the students' sense of unity and cohesion. The way they are designed, if two students bring their desks together, one will always be "trapped" or "pinched" by the other. Many of my students have experienced severe trauma, and enclosing in on their space often triggers stress and emotional outbursts. New desks will enable me to create a new, modern, and welcome learning space.
