My Students

My students are 9th-grade students who are studying Composition and Literature. We are from a small, rural community in northwest Georgia. They are fun and energetic and really do care about meeting the needs of their community.

My 9th graders want to reach out to underprivileged elementary students in our county.

The elementary students we want to help attend a Title I school. Many of my students attended this elementary school, so they have a personal connection to the school.

My Project

As part of our current unit, my 9th graders are learning how to make a positive impact in their community.

We are choosing to serve the elementary students in our county by providing toothbrushes and toothpaste.

Your smile is your first introduction to the world. It is important to protect that smile. The elementary counselor said this is one of the biggest needs in their school. Often the students don't have access to these tools to help them with their oral hygiene. We will be doing a drive-in our school and are going to do a Learn to Earn project through DonorsChoose.
