Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I have 28 students in total who are so very special in their own rights. All of my students come from a low socioeconomic background. For the majority of my students, crucial life experiences happen only in the classroom. My classroom is their safe space.

All 28 of my students hold a very special place in my heart.

They look forward to school and enjoy learning and exploring. However, I look forward to seeing them each and every day as well!

My Project

This year I have 70+ students who will enter my room on the first day of school. With these students comes multiple learning styles. I aim to create a classroom conducive to all learning styles and abilities.

I am seeking a class set of resistance bands for classroom chairs.

These bands will allow fidgety students to focus in class more. I have a few students who need a little more sensory stimulation. I am also seeking 4 yoga balls. These yoga balls will be the new seats for those students. They will be able to focus and perform in class while also sitting upright on a yoga ball.
