My Students

I teach at a Title I school where some of my students do not have access to computers on a daily basis at their houses. My students come from many different types of backgrounds. Some of them live with both of their parents, their grandparents, or some other relative who has been appointed to raise them. Sometimes it is hard to imagine everything that they face once they go home. Our classrooms are hopefully a safe haven for many of them where they can forget what they are dealing with and learn more about the history of our world.

I believe we can add to their learning experience by adding theatre arts can add to their learning as well as showing them what else is out there in the world.

We have to show them that their past doesn't dictate where they go in life. They have a blank portrait and it is up to them to create their masterpiece.

Our job is to show them that they can be whatever they dream for themselves and help guide them to complete their goals.

My Project

These microphones and cables will be used inside of the auditorium for school plays, concerts, and programs for our school. Our students love theatre arts and we need some technological upgrades as we go forward with our school's theatre arts program.

For many students, theatre arts is their world.

It is their chance to step into the spotlight and shine. They are able to work in many different angles of a play and this part of the technology will allow them to not stress so much about being heard as they are about getting their lines memorized.
