This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Do you remember what it was like to go up to the board and write in front of your peers? Our chalk board is too high for kindergarten students. They need a surface they can reach.

My students are curious, eager, five and six year old kids who love to participate in whole group instruction.

Most students come from single parent homes and lack in essential resources to be successful in school. It is challenging to provide the what is best for them when we don't have the funds for basic materials.

My Project

With your help students will be able to participate in whole group writing and reading. Can you imagine what its like to still use just a chalk board? With the use of the new easel students will be able to write more and use writing materials that are dust free and won't break with a firm grip.

With your support you will be providing a variety of materials for whole group writing.

The easel will be an excellent tool not only for the classroom teachers but appropriate for the young learners to manipulate daily to enhance their writing and reading.
