Students Need Technology

My students need two new Chromebooks. There are 25 students in my class. With such a large number of students, having two more Chromebooks would come in handy.

My Students

Students come to school excited to see familiar faces and eager to learn many new things. We are off to a great start, for our second semester, of school!

It's so important to teach and model for our students how to love, work, learn, and live in a diverse world.

We as educators, work hard to make sure that each and every student feels safe, loved, important, and welcomed! My students go to school in a wonderful community! Being at school is the only positive that some of my students have, each day. Our school is a Title I school. That means that we have a majority of students coming from a low economic background. A lot of my students are not able to experience any form of technology, at home. My students come to school with big smiles on their faces! I feel that school is the place to help them learn to become adults in the working field one day but to also encourage their own dreaming and creativity.

My Project

My students need new Chromebooks. We have a large number of students. Having two Chromebooks would help my students, tremendously. They would be allowed a variety of technology devices.

A majority of my students are not exposed to examples of technology, in their home.

Students that are given the chance to operate technology devices, such as Chromebooks, iPads, and desktop computers, are gaining a life skill, that could be to their benefit, in future educational paths, as well, as careers. My students get to participate in Reading and math stations and also during this time, they are able to conduct research on a particular topic that we may be reading or studying about.
