My students are from Brooklyn and we are a Magnet School for Arts and Science. They are compassionate, engaged, hard workers, and critical thinkers. My kids are eager to learn and explore through asking questions, researching, imagining, planning, building, testing, and improving.
My students are known in my school as the "MAD SCIENTIST IN TRAINING", always ready for an investigation, experiment or challenge.
They have such a love for learning especially when integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. My students are enthusiastic and creative and up for any challenge or task you give them.
My Project
The JIMU Robot and magnetic blocks will make a huge difference in my students learning. Next month, my school is starting an after school program for students. I will be teaching coding. Getting Jimu would be an amazing experience for my students because they have to build him first and then use coding to make him dance. Coding is a huge opportunity for them and opens the door to future jobs.
My students and I will be learning while have a great time building, coding, and dancing along with JIMU the robot.
Magnetic blocks are also great for students learning to design, build, and improve what they make. My lower grade students would love to build with magnetic blocks. They are exciting and they can learn about magnetism at the same time. Please help fund my project so my students can get what they need.
