Students Need Air Movers: Keep Them Engaged & Germ Free

Help me give my students a COVID-free and cooler place to learn with the fans, learn a vocational task using a paper shredder, and learn about sequencing and storytelling about their experiences.

My Students

My High school class serves students with a wide range of disabilities including Intellectual Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our high poverty school has a high rate of students with a disability, many of which come from low income and multi-generation families. Our students with disabilities learn to make improvements in learning in their academic and life skills by being a 21st Century learner in these unprecedented times.

My Project

Our classroom fans are ready for retirement and some are held together with duck tape and trying to hold it together. With trying to keep our students safe, industrial fans that are built to move air will help with student engagement and increase their learning in two classrooms to keep students in social distancing bubbles. We are trying to keep our learning environment sustainable during these unprecedented times. Our classroom shredder also retired 3 months ago and had a great life but the students need a replacement to work on their pre-vocational task.
