Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My public school has students in PreKindergarten through Fifth Grade. The population includes general education students, English Language Learners and students with disabilities. My students are happy and inquisitive individuals. Many of them reside in shelters, however they come to school with a positive and ready to learn attitude. They care about reading and writing. They like being exposed to exciting and meaningful fiction and nonfictional literature such as picture books, realistic novels, biographies, all about books, poetry and magazines.
My Project
This book will help students in grades three, four, and five take charge of their education. They will become powerful navigators of school success from the moment they wake up in the morning until they go to sleep at night. These one hundred-ten kid friendly strategies will support their self-confidence and achievement.
School does not come with a list of instructions for success, therefore this book is a necessity in every students' book bag.
A rationale for every strategy is provided to satisfy the curiosity of each and every student. Every day, the student will learn a new and practical strategy.
