Our students are eager to learn about EVERYTHING around them! Our school theme this year is to be a Connected Learner. Our goal is to give our students access to the world around them and connect them with it.
Our first grade team believes hands-on learning experiences enrich learning in the classroom and provide an avenue to be a Connected Learner.
21st century students are hungry for innovative ways of connecting with the world around them. Funding this project will connect our students with opportunities they may otherwise miss out on in connecting with the outside world. Our school consists of a diverse population of students who attend a Title I school.
My Project
Our first grade science standards emphasize investigating and observing living things. What a better way to accomplish this learning standard than by bringing living things for students to hold, handle, and connect with on a personal level.
Funding this creature encounter experience will give our first grade students access to learning about living things using the best teaching practices of high visual, hands on learning in a safe environment.
You will be providing a medium in which students can investigate and observe living things and engage with creatures they have been learning about or had more questions to explore further to help with their inquiry. You will be making this dream to bring them to our school a reality; Thank You!
