My Students

My students love to work in groups and share their ideas with others. They get excited when they are able to show their work to others and explain what they are thinking out loud. Science is something that gets them interested and invested in when we are going through lessons.

Many times students don't want to stop working on their labs, notes, or creations when the end of class approaches.

They enjoy being able to brainstorm and work together when they are learning. They do a great job working together to accomplish solving problems and figuring out content.

My Project

Students will be able to work in groups and brainstorm and work together by writing on whiteboards on the wall. In class we do a lot of things with data and graphs for experiments. This would allow them to draw them on the different whiteboards so that their entire group would be able to see it. They also would be able to compare their data with other groups without having to crowd around a computer or notebook.

They also love to work out math problems on the board instead of on paper.

There is something magical to them about writing on the board instead of on paper. They are always more excited when they are allowed to write on a white board. It would save a lot students from using a lot of paper. They are able to easily erase and change their work if they mess up also. We are limited to two white boards at the moment and that makes it difficult with classes of about 25.
