My students need fun playground activities that promote coordination skills, including "scoop ball" sets, "swing and catch cups" and velcro "easy-grip ball toss".

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We have a lot to accomplish in Kindergarten and we're only five and six years old! We try our best to meet our rigorous requirements through movement, play, dance, song and anything that gets us on our feet!
Kindergarten rocks!
My students come to school looking for friends, approval, a routine, love, self confidence and someone to listen. They are amazing, resilient, caring and SO smart. In a safe, positive environment we are able to accomplish astounding things! We read, write, take turns, share, add, subtract, sing, give compliments, recite songs and poems, play, draw, count...We are an amazing learning community!
My Project
We're only five! We need to learn through movement. By working with these playground balls and games, we will develop better focus and hand/eye coordination. We even incorporate learning into these outdoor activities by reciting sight words, songs and counting while practicing. These skills also carry over to ALL academic expectations; including printing, reading, and math skills.
Students learn better when they move!
Donations will improve our motor skills, academic skills, self confidence and focus. It will get us outdoors and most importantly, WE WILL HAVE FUN doing so!
