Art projects bring out hidden learning opportunities for all students. My special needs students learn better when they can make or draw things about what they are learning. I would love to purchase these art supplies, games, and hands on activities to help these students learn.
I have a self-contained special education classroom of 12 students that are eager to learn in their own way.
Many of my students are autistic and have difficulty focusing and learning using traditional teaching methods. The school is a high poverty school with over 75% of the students receiving free and reduced lunches. The school is a 4th through 6th grade school and limited funds to provide art materials and hands on activities for these students.
My Project
Students work so hard to retain information they have been learning. Many concepts can be enhanced with combining them with Arts projects. Students love working with their hands to make or create projects and retain what they have done better with these projects. They like to be rewarded with drawing of making things when they have completed their work. They like to display the things they have made. Please help them have more and different opportunities to explore the arts.
Due to the limited funds available for teachers to purchase materials for their classroom, I have not been able to acquire these resources for my students.
I would love for my students to have these art supplies available to them. Please can you help make this happen!!!!!!
