Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am using Google classroom and other various apps: Google forms, slides, docs, calendar, duolingo, storyboard, quizlet to practice vocabulary, padlet and so many others in order to engage my students and improve their pronunciation, writing and reading activities.
As a teacher in a low-income school, my students are faced daily with several challenges both in and out of the classroom 84% of our school students are on the free lunch program.
Despite the many challenges they face, they come to school excited each day and want to learn and work hard. I noticed that the new generation of students becomes more involved in a learning environment when technology is present in the classroom.
My Project
My students can also get on and read, listen, interact, pronounces vocabulary words and play some games on Santillana online Spanish book to increase and work on their individual Spanish skills. I can have my class get on and type their tasks on Google Docs and Google Slide and share on Google Classroom. I am using Google classroom and other various apps: Google forms, slides, docs, calendar, duolingo, storyboard, quizlet to practice vocabulary, padlet and so many others to engage my students and improve their pronunciation, writing and reading activities.
My projects will make a difference in my students' education which will help them succeed in their second language learning and their future.
My classes will be at the level technologically to meet their needs as second language learners.
