My Students

I have a very diverse group of students in my class this year. I host 24 kiddos from a range of abilities and backgrounds. We have gifted students as well as special education students. These students are wonderfully supportive of each other. Their strengths and weaknesses compliment each other well.

I have a group of students that enjoy coming to class and are constantly seeking opportunities to help one another.

Each of my 24 students makes valuable contributions to our class.

My Project

All students need to learn how to stand in front of an audience and speak with confidence and clarity. Having a portable microphone system will make public speaking fun as well as encourage students to want to participate. Students will get to experience what it is like speaking in front of a crowd. Having the microphone system in class will provide many other opportunities to encourage reading through karaoke and reader's theater activities. They will find their voice!

This system will help build student self-esteem, and give a voice to those students who normally aren't heard in class.

This system will provide valuable life lessons to every student, not only this year but for future classes as well.
