Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have an amazing group of students who are very hard workers. Although some students have difficulty staying on task due to lack of focus, they enjoy learning.
All my students love to work.
They enjoy writing, art, science, and mathematics. When students work with hands-on materials, that’s when they are motivated to work harder. They also enjoy working with technology. This helps them with reinforcement with what they’re learning in class.
My school is a Title I school where all children qualify for a free lunch. My students come from low socio-economic backgrounds.
My Project
My students are always eager to learn. They enjoy working with counting coins and bills. These supplies will assist their learning with money.
These amazing materials will help my hard-working students with financial literacy.
First of all, I will set up a math station. Through the use of this math station, students will be able to buy different supplies such as toys, puzzles, and pencils with pretend money. They will learn about the value of money. Students will learn about addition, subtraction, and solving word problems with money. That is why these basic supplies are very important for student learning.
