My students need individual white boards and markers to quickly show their knowledge.
This project expired on February 23, 2013.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students love to show off their doodles. I need something to harness that desire while also checking their understanding of chemistry.
My students attend a small charter school in urban California.
The school is significantly higher performing than many of the traditional district schools in the neighborhood. However, there is still work to be done. My students are about 70% Hispanic and 30% African American and 100% ready to learn. Our class motto is "It's learning time" and it can be heard down the halls in our school.
The Juniors recently took an SAT diagnostic test. Students scored from 800 (very low) to 2000 (potential ivy-league). There is a wide range of abilities in my chemistry class. Without reading their minds (because who knows what is in those teenage brains), I need to know how each individual student is doing during the lesson. Individual whiteboards and markers would help to make that a possibility.
I need to be able to know the level of understanding for each of my individual students.
Individual white boards and markers will help to make that a possibility. All they will need to do is pop the cap, write an answer, and hold it up.
