Help me give my students access to tools to allow for rich classroom community circles, AVID Socratic Seminars, and all types of discussion based activities. Help me empower student voice within my classroom with these microphones.

My students all deserve the opportunity to go to college and I truly believe they all can go to college! They are part of an amazing program called AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination), which pushes all students to see their potential, succeed in all their classes, and to attend college. These students are all capable of being amazing forces for positive change within their communities and are dedicated and determined to be successful.
Many of my students come from challenging home situations, and almost 100% of the school is on free and reduced lunch, yet they are resilient and are willing and able to take on any challenges that come their way and learn something new each day.
These students are such an inspiration to be around and they deserve the best education out there. I can't wait to see them be successful in their own ways through the AVID program.
These two different styles of microphones will help create a classroom environment where students know their voice, opinions, and ideas have value and add richness to our classroom. I plan to use these during AVID Socratic Seminars, where students practice having structured debates and conversations. Classroom community will be enriched through the use of the Q-ball because I will be using this during our weekly community circles. Community circles are a time for us to come together as a classroom community and share.
Student voice is valued in my classroom.
Students will be more engaged, more willing to share and talk with one another when using a microphone. Microphones like the two listed within my project are tools of empowerment and teach scholars how they can use their voice to create positive change. I am so excited to see my students using their voice to express themselves during our lessons, discussions, and community circles.
