My classroom is bursting with diverse students who are eager to learn. Students come from multiple economic backgrounds and create a multicultural community within our classroom. CES is Title 1, and I have many students with a wide range of needs. I work diligently to ensure that students have the opportunity to learn in individualized ways. Most of all, my students know that I believe in them. Therefore, they believe in themselves!
My students are intelligent world leaders of the future.
They love hands-on learning through the use of interactive materials, technology, and high-interest literature. They love working in fun spaces created throughout the room through the use of flexible (alternative) seating! My students are talented and ready to express themselves in unique ways!
Voice is a powerful thing! Voice is not always audible. In fact, it more than often is not. The written word is a powerful voice! Students are often more apt to write down their thoughts and questions. Writing allows students to tell stories, express ideas, ask questions, communicate, and collaborate with their peers.
The materials provided by this project will encourage my students to express their voices through writing.
The Whiteboards, dry erase markers, and pencils provide a medium for students to express themselves. A writer's voice is as unique as the writer themself, and my students are unique!
