My Students

Five years ago, I started my Science teaching career with Dallas Independent School District at a low-income school, but a school full of outstanding students hungry to learn. I had to get my students engaged in my classroom. I jumped right in and immediately expanded my student science experiments to engage my students in my classroom. Science is fun when the kids are engaged in their learning. I want my students this year to be highly engaged in Science while igniting their curiosity and wonder. Engaged students that experience Science first hand in my labs, will be inspired to problem solve, collaborate, and explore many possibilities that are applicable to our world.

The education regarding the hands-on experiences has built my students' confidence and pride while learning in a progressive Science environment.

All of my students have shown incredible interest in Veterinary medicine, Science, Engineering.

My Project

The laboratory magnets, solutions, and wire mesh stands will be used to understand the molecular composition of chemicals used in a lab. This is important because it will aide in understanding how our world is put together and how all elements can be broken down chemically, including our food chain. My commitment this year is to have the students more engaged to analyse how chemistry plays a vital role in everything that MATTERS in our physical, biological and microbial worlds.

Donating to this project, our students will have the rare opportunity to seek out how chemistry impacts various sorts of environments.

We know as educators that when students are navigating the engagement of their learning, academic scores go up. Thank you in advance to fund this LAB portion of my Science class.
