My Students

I am a Special Education teacher at the high school level and I have a group of five AMAZING young adults in grades 9-12. In my classroom, we teach functional academics to help prepare my students for the adult world.

My students are hard workers who LOVE to interact with others.

They make everyone's day better when they see them. Although they face challenges everyday, they work hard to promote acceptance and inclusion in our high school.

My Project

I am looking to help my students build career-readiness skills. In my classroom, we teach functional academics to help prepare my students for the adult world. I love to get my students involved with their general education peers.

I am a Special Education teacher at the high school level and I am hoping to start a snack cart and popcorn cart to help build a variety of skills such as: money handling skills, food preparation skills, conversational skills, etc.

The money raised from the carts will help us to buy important materials for our class such as: wipes, tissues, velcro and laminate. It will also help us purchase food items which allows to participate in weekly cooking lessons!
