The students in my classroom impress me with their eagerness to learn.
They love coming to school and being able to engage in new learning opportunities. I have made it a goal to ensure that the students in my classroom are given new, fun, hands-on, learning opportunities.
I am constantly researching for fun interactive activities to keep my students engaged and interested in their learning. Learning should be fun and memorable for each student. My students are at the age where they still love to learn, and I enjoy making school a positive impact in their lives. By funding this project, students will gain another resource that will help make learning fun and interactive.
My Project
I love being able to make learning fun and exciting for my students! I have many ideas on how I will use these items in order to improve classroom management and student engagement. I will use the doorbell as an attention getter. I love the fact that the doorbell has atleast 50 tones I can use throughout the year. Being able to change the tone will keep the students engaged and assist with classroom management. I will also use this as a safety feature. I like to keep my door locked, and during centers I sometimes do not hear or see when a visitor is at my door. I will place the other doorbell outside my door for safety and to ensure that I am able to see who is there before they are let in.
Giving my students as many opportunities to learn is one of my main goals!
I would like to get a laminator and laminating pouches so that I can make sure the games that are made are durable and students can play and use the manipulatives for many years. I have found, that when students can find materials they need easily, it tends to cut down on disrubtions. I will use the labeling tape to label materials, manipulatives, and supplies that are used in the classroom.
I will use the magnet kit for science and at the beinging of the year when students are learning procedures during centers. Students love being able to manipulate the magnets and will be a great centers to put out at the beginning of the year and to use throughout the year.
