Our school is a performing arts school with one-to-one technology integration. Our students excel in both academics and the arts. This year we have added a project based learning class to teach science and social studies through hands-on, real world experiences.
I teach 350 historians and scientists (students) in first through fourth grade.
Our students are bright, curious and love to learn through hands-on experiences and through incorporating the arts. Student excitement and engagement drive our lessons!
My Project
My first through fourth grade students will create their own garden. The students will research where to do the project, when to plant for our climate, and what to plant for our climate. Students will start the seeds, care for the plants, create the garden and maintain it. The will be integrating literacy, science, math and social studies to complete this project.
Your donation will pay for the tools needed to create and maintain the garden.
We need two veggie garden kits, two flower garden kits, an herb garden kit and gardening supplies. The students will be able to use the garden tools year after year while continuing to grow and improve the garden. All of the seeds and kits will bring their learning to life in the classroom.
