Student Comprehension Focus

My Students

My ESL students in particular are amazing! The work we do has helped us to exceed the learning goals year after year. They have done well, but can do much better.

As we focus on the four areas of English language mastery, are needs in the classroom increase.

The ability to see the work required, as well as connect with the next objective is crucial. As we spread around the room, work on the objectives, displaying the information quickly and fully is challenging.

These students want to learn! They have demonstrated that by coming to school and working hard face to face during this challenging time.

My Project

Comprehension to learning is key. The development process of any learning objective is critical and connects directly to the tech ability of a classroom. Currently, social distancing needs are tough to meet, but with the aid of proper and effective technology, this becomes easier. The Epson projector will make it possible to use all areas of my room, helping me to achieve good desk/student placement. The Ipad will increase my ability to monitor the room in an effective manner as we are spread out. I can be more mobile, increasing my ability to effectively manage the students in the class. This is essential, and difficult to do at any time, let alone when we are not in close proximity.

My ESL students in particular will benefit.

As we work toward efficacy, the items we are requesting will help us to connect with their unique needs as learners. As I have multiple levels of learners during these periods, it is important to have a variety of tools at my disposal. The Ipad will allow me to take my focus/materials with me and help me to switch quickly from learning objective to learning objective, as each student requires multiple strategies.
