Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work in an urban area for Oklahoma City Public Schools. The school is located in a lower income area. My students come from very supportive families who do all they can to ensure their child is learning. They have a great sense of community and family which enables them to have group discussions and work together.
My 3rd graders are extremely driven and eager to learn.
They come from various backgrounds. Each student has her/his own personality; there is no one size fits all a classroom. The students show their learning in various ways. I have students who love to read and some who love math, some who prefer to show what they know through writing, or art, or even drama. I would describe my classroom as diverse learners.
My Project
We are in need of cases for our classroom iPads. The cases will allow for the students to use the iPads more often. The cases will also provide the students with more freedom while using the iPads. They will help ensure that our iPads are protected.
Our class is on a journey to create a comfortable learning environment for all to succeed.
The Kore Patented WOBBLE Chairs will provide the students with more seating options. The Surf Portable Lap Desks will provide students with a mobile desk to use anywhere at anytime. Both of these seating options will ultimately provided the students with a better learning environment.
