My Third grade students' beautiful faces and "can do" attitudes inspire me to be the best teacher I can be. This is my 13th year of teaching and everyday has been such a learning experience. I've watched my students grow academically and as a community to help each other as we work through our Third grade curriculum. My goal is to continue to challenge them, motivate them, and excite them to learn and master the skills they are learning.
Our elementary school has an incredibly diverse population.
It is the mission of our school to meet the needs of each individual student and help them to reach their goals. The community that surrounds our school also works hard to ensure that each student receives the best education possible! It is no coincidence that due to the amazing students, staff, and community, our school has been an rewarded an excelling school and received an A+ award twice.
My Project
Close your eyes and imagine an environment created for comfort, collaboration, learning, and productivity. You probably did not think of rows of desks and chairs that are found in many classrooms today, but something refreshingly different, with enough structure to support learning but enough flexibility to adapt to each student's unique needs and preferences.
We are requesting soft seats, balance ball seats, and wobble cushions.
Flexible seating allows students to have more control, choice, and responsibility of their learning space. Your donation will give my students the opportunity to choose from a wiggle seat, a floor cushion, a balance ball or a stool during independent work time. It will also help empower them to make choices that positively impacts their learning and become more successful in the classroom.
