My Students

Do you remember the first time you saw a computer? It may have had that funny floppy disk or even large button keyboards! Now, technology has become such an innate part of life that students today are so much more advanced than we ever were.

My students are savvy, city kids with tons to offer and a great view on what it means to be a part of such a fantastic school!

These special needs students attend a small school in NYC. These students are anxious to become more independent with many of them striving to move on to higher education. Incorporating technology into everyday functioning is helping these students gain more autonomy.

My Project

By donating printer toner to my class, I can help these students with special needs become more self sufficient when using technology. They will be able to access and print their own grades in order to monitor their progress. They will be able to print and peer edit each other's works in small groups rather than in pairs. Being able to use the printers in school will help in all facets of student learning.

It is so important for students to be able to effectively use classroom technology.

Having these resources will help my students become more on dependent and be able to learn more from each other.
