My Students

Second grade is such an exciting age group. They love to come to school every day and they love learning! This eagerness is one of the main reasons why second graders have the opportunity to make such amazing growth over the course of the school year. This year, my students are coming in worried concerning the worldwide pandemic.

My goal is to help ease the transition back into the classroom and provide a safe and healthy learning environment.

All of my students are capable of learning and growing, but each in their own unique way. I teach using a variety of hands-on, collaborative, and technology-based lessons and allow students to make their own choices regarding their learning. Thank you for considering our project and helping us on our learning journey.

My Project

Second graders have a lot of energy! Second grade also has a lot of content that needs to be covered. For students to be able to sit on the floor helps to make them more comfortable and engaged in their group work.

The floor table and seats would really help my students stay on task, by breaking changing the environment!

My goal, with the help of DonorsChoose, is to turn my classroom into a kid-friendly space with kid-friendly flexible seating! This floor table is sure to be a favorite, but hopefully, it is just the beginning!

I am also adding a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card to help me use more digital content and maintain social distancing for my students!
