My Students
I work in a small rural and high poverty elementary school. My students are energetic and spontaneous. They are motivated and love digital based learning. They love to share their work with others. They enjoy challenges and have a creative determination to take on the world through innovation and technology. My students engage in learning and show a kind and caring attitude. They are adventurous and passionate. This project will allow them the opportunity to prepare for college and to have a successful career.
My Project
The Chromebooks I have requested will make a huge difference in our classroom. My students will have the opportunity to create Google presentations for reading projects, enable them to grasp concepts more quickly using Pear Deck in Google Slides, and engage them to be researchers and investigators in the 21st Century to complete writing assignments in Social Studies and Science. We will use read, write, think tools with the google applications to help students learn to read and write more effectively.
Most of my students do not have internet at home so having access to these Chromebooks would make an enormous difference in their lives and improve their learning.
