Student Book Club - Book #1

Help me give my students a book to read, besides school work. They do not get to experience books like many other students, this will be one of their first books to own.

My Students

We have a spectacular group of students that work hard and want to learn, particularly want to read. At 70% low income they are not familiar with books in their own home. They read school books and books for hte English classes, but we do not really have a library. These books are to hopefully bring them more real life experiences to explore. We want to inspire them to be leaders among their peers, at home and our community.

Our project, we want to start our own campus book club.

My Project

My kids do not get to read much, but they are interested. We want to develop a book club and to give them their own books to start their own libraries. This book is like many of our students, humble beginnings and making the impossible happen.

If you have read the book and how he manages people, these are some of the values that we want to introduce to our students.

Our students read their school assignments, but often those are not books that interest them. We want to show them that there is more to reading than just school work.
