This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I love working with my magnificent musicians! Our students have a love for the music program at our school. Each day, they come in ready to learn, sing, dance and play, all while exploring the world and their own creativity.
Music helps my students explore cultures and the world, despite the reality that many have not traveled beyond their own neighborhood.
Anything that I can do to help my students cultivate their music skills and help them to continue to grow, I will do that for each one of them!
My Project
Instruments are an integral part of the music class experience. It is also one way that students get the chance to visit the world right in their classroom. Providing these ukeleles help open windows to new experiences for my students.
My students will get the chance, as growing musicians, to create and practice skills that allow them to explore their creativity.
My students will be able to apply their skills of note-reading and composition while using these instruments.
Most importantly, they will get to use and experience an instrument many have never had a chance to use or learn how to play.
